Max Demers is rapidly earning a reputation as a talent to watch as an actor for stage and screen, musician, and songwriter. Demers talents range from tight vocal harmonies to impressive folk guitar skills, as seen in the touring production Who Loves You, a musical tribute show that describes itself as “four young, hot Broadway veterans, who re-create the music and stories of the great era of The Four Seasons, and other great artists of that era,” and A Band Called Honalee, a “modern-day folk trio inspired by the music and legacy of Peter, Paul, and Mary.” Demers will also be the lead vocalist on The American Duchess, a steam-boat cruise with American Queen Steamboat Company. His band, Astoria Boulevard had the honor of playing the hallowed grounds of the Billie Jean King Tennis Center during the US Open Tennis Tournament. Mr. Demers was recently on tour with Lucille Lortel Award-nominated The Lightning Theif and had an exciting TV spot on My Dirty Little Secret. Also, Demers was seen as Bastian in Michael Merritt and Andrew Sotomayor’s new play Guardians, performed Ernie in Orange Star Dinner Show, and originated the role of James Wright in Jahn Sood’s haunting new folk musical In a Sea of Faces in Bass Harbor, ME at The Barn Arts Collective. A graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School, Demers has performed all over the world, and his work can be seen online from CNN.com to iTunes to YouTube and beyond. Favorite past roles include Huck (Big River), George Bailey (It’s a Wonderful Life), and Schroeder (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown).
