Maestro Steven White conducts La traviata at the Metropolitan Opera

Conductor Douglas Kinney Frost named Music Director of Opera on the James
Conductor Douglas Kinney Frost has just been named Music Director of Opera On the James in Virginia. Currently he is at Los Angeles Opera working on a production of Albert Herring as Associate Conductor to James Conlon whom he also worked with in Los Angeles Opera’s 2011 production of The Turn of the Screw. Maestro Frost is also Music Director at Syracuse Opera where in January he led the New York State Carmina Burana Sing-a-long, and will conduct Madama Butterfly in April.

Currently performing it at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, future performance of the role include debuts with Oper Leipzig this spring, at English National Opera fall of 2012, at Opera de Toulon in the spring of 2013, and at the Bregenzer Festspiele in the summer of 2013.
